Presidents’ Day Is one of the biggest sleep-centered holidays of the year. Who knows what it is about February’s sole long weekend that makes it so perfect to put mattresses and sleep gear on sale (the darkness of winter? impending desire to refresh your bedroom for spring?), but it’s a great time to buy a new mattress, pillows, and sheets. Of course, not all sales are made equal, and mattress sales are especially hard to navigate, since there’s often some kind of sale running. How can you be sure this sale is one you really need to jump on?
We’re how. Here at WIRED, we track prices all year long to flag the best sales—along with testing mattresses, mattress toppers, pillows, and sheets to tell you what’s even worth buying in the first place. It might sound like we’re sleeping on the job, but it’s all in the name of you getting your best night’s sleep ever. Note that all prices below are for queen sizes.
Here are all the deals worth shopping as Presidents’ Day sales go live all over the internet. Curious about other February sales? Don’t miss our guide to the Best Valentine’s Day Deals. Best Early Presidents’ Day Mattress Deals (and Toppers!)
Bear
Bear’s early Presidents’ Day sale is one of the better early sales to jump on. While the site is often 30 percent off, you can get 35 percent off right now with the code PRESDAY. We’re big fans of the Bear Elite Hybrid, which is a top pick in our guide to side-sleeper mattresses. The firmest option is soon to be a pick in our guide to mattresses for back pain too. You’ll also get two free pillows with your purchase; that’s not uncommon, but it’s still a nice perk.
Leesa
Leesa makes several mattresses we like, with our favorite being the Sapira Chill Hybrid—it’s the runner-up pick in our Best Mattresses guide. Leesa’s early-access Presidents’ Day sale has 25 percent off this and several other mattresses (no code needed), including one of our favorite cooling mattresses, and any mattress purchase will include two free pillows. It tops the usual 20 percent discount you can find on Leesa, so it’s a good time to shop. The savings shown below are off the usual discounted price.
Saatva
Saatva’s early Presidents’ Day sale has gotten started and includes the wide range of mattresses we love, especially if you’re struggling with back pain or need extra support. But the best price you can find is actually with our exclusive links below, which will apply a $400 coupon off the base price of your mattress of choice. This link will apply the coupon in general to Saatva’s site, while our links below will apply it to the specified mattress. Saatva is usually running some kind of discount on its mattresses, but this is a better price than you’ll find on Saatva’s site without our coupon. It’s also worth noting that the Rx mattress increased in price in 2025, so this discount is off the new base price.
Bedgear
Bedgear’s early Presidents’ Day sale started extra early, and it includes a range of mattresses and other sleep accessories like pillows and sheets (check out our guide to those sales below). Not all mattresses have the same great discount, though—our favorite cheap cooling mattress, the S Performance, is available for the price we usually find it at. But the modular M3 Performance, our favorite cooling mattress for couples, has a nice $300 discount right now.
Nolah
Nolah’s Presidents’ Day sale isn’t anything too crazy—we often see the Evolution 15 for the current 35 percent off discount, though it’s still a good price that’s worth shopping if you want a mattress that’s firm but still comfortable for side sleepers. But what’s interesting is that Nolah is also offering $150 off the BedJet 3 (8/10, WIRED Reviews) with a mattress purchase. The BedJet is essentially a fan with a hose to pump air underneath your sheets, helping to maintain a specific temperature (air circulation is key in cooling sheets, after all). It’s an intriguing offer, and if you wanted to buy a BedJet anyway (and need a new mattress), you can get both at once with this sale. Nolah also has its mattress topper on sale for its usual ticket price, but you won’t get the BedJet discount.
Best Early Presidents’ Day Organic Mattress Deals (and Toppers!)
Avocado
Avocado’s early Presidents’ Day sale is currently underway, with up to 20 percent off the entire site. We often see a 10 percent or so discount on mattresses, so this is a better sale than you’ll usually find on Avocado’s organic mattresses. Mattress toppers are on sale too for 10 percent off, which aren’t often on sale like mattresses are. There are sales on pillows and bedding, too, which you can check out in our section below about the best bedding deals.
Saatva
Along with the rest of Saatva’s lineup, its organic offering, the Zenhaven, is on sale right now. It’s our favorite flippable organic mattress, with both a plush and firm side you can choose between, and now you can score it for a true sale price. It’s the best early sale right now of Saatva’s mattresses without our exclusive coupon codes, but you’ll get an even better discount with our code below.
More Early Presidents’ Day Mattress Sales
Helix
Helix’s Early Access Presidents’ Sale is underway, and while it’s not a bad sale—you’ll get 20 percent off sitewide with the code PRES20 and two free pillows with a mattress purchase—you can find similar prices most of the year. Still, these are fantastic mattresses, and this is the price we’d usually recommend buying them for. It’s just not a special sale deal.
Birch
Birch is the organic sister brand to Helix, so it’s no surprise we love the brand’s mattresses as much as we love Helix’s. Birch makes both our absolute favorite organic mattress and the best mattress topper we’ve tested, so it’s always worth shopping at Birch, but especially now with the Early Access Presidents’ Day Sale underway. The code PRES20 should be automatically applied at checkout to get the 20 percent discount, though it’s a price we often see Birch for, so it’s not the most exciting early deal.
Brooklyn Bedding
Brooklyn Bedding’s Sale has kicked off with 25 percent off the site, which is a good price, but one you can usually find its mattresses for—particularly the well-priced, extra firm Plank mattress. The code PRESDAY25 should apply automatically at checkout. While it’s not a great sale, it’s still a good price we recommend buying the Plank for anyway.
Presidents’ Day Bedding Sales
Avocado
Avocado’s sale isn’t just for its mattresses and toppers. You’ll find a small discount on our favorite down pillow from Avocado, and on Avocado’s organic sheets that we’ve tested and recommend.
Land’s End
We’ve got a new guide in the works to flannel sheets, and so far the shining star of testing is the flannel sheet set from Land’s End. The “comfy super soft” part of the name turns out to not be overkill, as these sheets nail the fluffy feel of full cotton without being too heavy or hot to sleep on all night long.
Buffy
Buffy’s sale is one we see a lot, but Buffy’s bedding is so good it still deserves to be mentioned. The brand got its name for its fantastically airy comforters (they’re named Cloud and Breeze for a reason) and Buffy’s newest offering, percale cotton sheets, are some of the softest cotton sheets we’ve tried since they use Supima cotton. It’s always a good time of year to add some Buffy bedding to your bedroom.
